Probably the greatest aardvark apothegm was quoted by Cyril, a 72 year old aardvark from South of the Sahara, in an interview with the Sunday Express in 1997.
When asked what advice he's give young up-and-coming aardvarks, he said: "Always keep your snout in good working order. What looks like a bunch of tasty termites could be badger shit." Not very wise or witty, but, hey, it's a blooming aardvark for goodness sake!
