Call me crazy, but for me a fig is a thing of sweetness - sugary, sappy, oozing with flavour...so imagine how incredibly angry I got when I was given a bunch of acerbic figs from my mother-in-law! OK, I feel bad for punching her right in the face, but realistically I had little choice. Damn her and her tarty figs!
