After the strenuous sport of cracker pulling has taken place, the winner of the competition is selected based on the number of ‘winning halves’ the victor has amassed.
There is a short ceremony where the spectators stand in awe over the various ‘medals’ that have been won from the various rounds of cracker pulling, culminating in the Cracker Crowning procession where the victor ("crackers knacker") is crowned with a tissue paper hat.
