Cutish Brunts - RSS Information
Brunts on Your Website
If you want Cute Brunts' "Phrase of the Day" to appear on your website, then that's fine by us! We offer you access to an "RSS feed" available on this website. A brief description of what this is and how it's possible to use it appear below. If you have a website and want to include an RSS feed on your own website, then you need to either speak to the people who made your website, or if you made it yourself but don't really know how to go about getting it up, do a quick search on google and you'll find your answers.
What is RSS?
RSS is a way of sharing information across the internet in a really simple way. For example, many companies use RSS to share news headlines and sports results and allow this information to be displayed on another website, inside your email program or as a list of items on your internet browser.
So...what does it do?
An RSS feed usually consists of a number of "latest items" which a website wishes to promote. In our case, it's a Phrase of the Day. By offering our Phrase of the Day as an RSS feed, this information can be shared on other people's websites. Increasingly portal sites (such as "My Yahoo!", "Windows Live" and Google's "Personalised Home") are offering users the ability to add any RSS feed to their own personalised home pages. This means that when you open your browser and view your portal site, you'll be able to see the latest items from all your favourite websites that have shared RSS feeds.
Can I use it? Does all this mean anything to me?
Yes, you absolutely can use RSS! If you use any of the above portal sites as your home page then setting up an RSS feed to a website of your choosing should be a doddle! Similarly, if you use an internet browser other than Microsoft's Internet Explorer, chances are you're going to be able to "Subscribe" to RSS feeds. The process for this is dependent on which browser you are using. In Mozilla's FireFox browser, for instance, when the website you're currently browsing offers an RSS feed, an icon like this
So you offer an RSS?
Yes, we do. We make available the last 7 days worth of "Phrase of the Day" information as an RSS feed. Unfortunately, there are a couple of different flavours of RSS which can make life complicated but don't worry too much about them. We recommend using the "RSS 2.0" link below, however, if this doesn't work with the program you're attempting to add the RSS to, please use RSS 0.91 which should give you no troubles.
Our Feeds
Following are the URLs for the Phrase of the Day feed in its various forms. Again, we recommend trying the RSS 2.0 feed first and the others if that does not work.
